Achievements
At my previous school I was asked to take part in a Sports Coaching and Leadership course. In this I took part in a football tournament with the local lowers schools and did many other activities.
When I was in year 9 I completed a Health and Social Care GCSE in one year, I was the only person in my class who was entered into the exam for the first year.
At my school I am one of the Gifted and Talented students, this allowed me to take part in a Latin GCSE course alongside my other GCSE’s.
Hobbies
I enjoy taking part in sports and have been part of many school sport teams. These include; athletics, netball, rounders and cross-country.
Out of school, I was part of Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. I completed my Baden Powell which allowed me to become a young leader at my Guide unit working with the younger girls. With my Guide unit I had the opportunity to visit the Chalet in Switzerland, one of the 4 world centres, this opportunity allowed me to make friends with other Guides from all over the world, including China, America and Canada. With Guides I did a lot of community service. This include things like; litter picking, tree planting and bag packing at the local supermarkets.
At weekends I take part in a windsurfing training scheme. I managed to complete all my levels which enabled me to train to become an Assistant Instructor helping the other children complete their training.
I believe that all of these things have provided me with many skills like; communication, leadership and working within a team. I think that these skills will help me with the apprenticeship.
